Hi, I’m Karen.
I am a stay at home mum to three children, a boy aged 6 and 4 yr old twin girls. I live in Berkshire with my amazing family. I started this blog in Oct 2013 as I love writing about children, activities with kids, parenting, family and days out.
Childhood is precious. It is over in a flash. I believe it should be a time for running around outside, making friendships, getting messy, dressing up, pretending, laughter, giggles, creativity, exploring……and above all HAVING FUN!We live in a fast paced modern world, full of technology with stresses and strains round every corner. Increasingly, I feel children are getting caught up in this pressured world and experiencing less and less basic childhood fun.
When I grew up, I spent most of the day running around outside, playing with friends, exploring, riding bikes, climbing, making mud pies and generally having a great time. I look back with very fond memories. I want my children to experience the same type of innocent childhood.
The aim of this site is to raise awareness of the need to allow our children to be children, there is plenty of time for growing up.
Lets get back to basics and bring back childhood!
