We have all had a good week and with daddy back home things have calmed down a little. Hence this week has been more focused on outdoors, fun and ‘eggs’!
The weekend was spent outside in the garden mostly, but in between the garden play, the children were going in and out, blowing and decorating eggs. BB had a competition at school to decorate eggs, so the children were all desperate to have a go. The eggs had to dry after each coat of paint etc, so it actually became a whole weekend activity.
They did enjoy their eggy fun, especially the blowing of the eggs…..the faces they made were quite a picture! Here’s BB’s creations…..
BB didn’t win his competition, but after seeing everyone else’s entry I can see why…..lots of parental help I think. A whole circus scene won, closely followed by a scene from the eggsfactor! This made BB’s mere bee and ladybird spring scene look rather small. However, BB didn’t mind, he was happy that he got 2 mini eggs.
Once the eggs were blown for the decorating, of course we had to make something for lunch with them, so we made egg muffins. Pinky, very much loved making these for everyone, they were so simple and yummy.
So, you can see, we have had a very ‘egg’ focussed week!
