We were very lucky to be sent a beautiful presentation box of Oliver Jeffers ‘How to catch a star’ 10th Anniversary edition to review. You can read the review here.
In the presentation box, we received 2 stunning books, one for us to review and one to give away (you can enter the giveaway here). We also received some activity sheets for the children to have fun getting interactive with the story. You can print your own activity sheets (How to Catch a Star Activity Sheets) to enjoy too.
First we had a go at the colouring, the dot to dot and spot the difference. BB managed to spot all the differences and Pinky enjoyed having a go at the dot to dot, she loved seeing the picture once she’d joined all the dots.
After, we had finished these, BB cut out the figures to make puppets of the characters. You can see from the photos, he very much enjoyed acting out the rocket!
The following day, the children pulled out their little puppet theatre for a ‘how to catch a star’ show. BB read/narrated the story into his microphone (very well), whilst Pinky and Boo did some puppet acting with the figures BB cut out the day before.

They definitely enjoyed this and were delighted when mummy and daddy applauded them at the end. They all did really well, as it’s such a lovely, simple story to capture their imaginations and re-enact the scenes from the book.
Why not print the How to Catch a Star Activity Sheets off yourself and have a go?
