Butterfly bunting and a rainbow mobile
Last week my children painted their den, so this week it was time to add some decorations. We made butterfly bunting and a rainbow mobile.
Butterfly bunting
I bought a pack of foam butterflies from Wilkinson after reading about the bunting they made at Life with little ones, as I thought they would make great bunting and would be weather proof.
I snipped small holes in each wing of the butterfly and threaded some string through. I gave the children some foam stickers for them to decorate the butterflies and they loved it. They always enjoy playing with stickers.
We hung it up along the top of the front of the den and I think it looks great. We have some butterflies left over, so we may make some more to hang inside.
Rainbow mobile
Boo has been asking for over a week to make a rainbow mobile, so we finally did.
We folded a paper plate in half and glued it together. We cut out two rainbow shapes in card which Pinky and boo coloured.
We also cut out 2 butterflies from card for decorating, to hang under the rainbow. We used wool to hang the butterflies underneath. We added string to the top of the rainbow to hang it up.
Now we have two lovely decorations for the den. The children love it.

Beautiful crafts, we have been making bunting here too but I love your butterfiles
