Fingerprint flower thank you cards
Following all the birthdays we had in this house last month, we then needed to make lots of thank you cards. It can often be difficult to get children interested in writing/making thank you cards, so I knew I needed to make it fun. We got the paints out and some cards and made finger print flower thank you cards.
The children dipped their fingers in some paint and printed their prints roughly in a circle. They used 2 or 3 colours filling in the circle. This made the fingerprints look like a bunch of flowers, so they then painted some green flower stems and leaves off of them. They looked fab.
It was a lot of fun and very effective. It was also very very easy for small children to make. Once they were dry, I used a thin black pen and roughly drew round each print and wrote thank you to finish them off.
I absolutely love the way these turned out. We may just have to do this again for birthday cards, easter cards or mothers day cards.
