Homemade marble run

Homemade marble run

Homemade marble runChildren love marble runs. We don’t have a proper one, so I thought, why not try to make a homemade marble run. I saved up all the toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, foil tubes etc from the house over the last few weeks, got some tape and blue tack, then set about making a marble run together as a family.

Daddy being an engineer thought he would be good at this, so took charge. BB helped with some cutting out and the girls helped with sticking tubes together. However, daddy’s first attempt fell down. He was taking so long to make it, I thought I’d have a go too.

Engineering a marble run

The radiators were off, so I stuck tubes to it with blue tack. It was very simple and only took me a few minutes to complete a working marble run!

The children enjoyed watching the marbles run down it and speeding out the end. There were many giggles and excited squeals heard. It kept them amused for ages while daddy was working on the more complicated run!

Finally, daddy completed the fully ‘engineered’ homemade marble run. It was made up of lots of tubes taped together, running into cut out bits of other tubes. The children loved sending the balls down this one too, but I must say……mine lasted longer!!!!! Daddy’s marble run fell apart after 20 mins of play!
