Puddle scooting
One of my children’s favourite activity, is jumping in puddles. At the weekend, daddy was away and we ‘really‘ needed to get out of the house, even in the rain! So, on went the wellies and coats. Two of my kids wanted to take scooters, so I thought, fine.
We walked/scooted through the park, unfortunately unable to play on the equipment, it was too wet. There were loads of puddles to jump in, splash in, get wet in. They all had such a great time.
Then, they discovered the joys of scooting through the puddles! This brought a whole new dimension to puddles. We found some good ones and spent ages there, just scooting backwards and forward through them, watching the water waves etc.
It was really good basic childhood fun, the children got soaking wet and muddy, but that doesn’t matter, they had such a good time! (I would recommend giving this a try)

Puddles seem to be magical dont they? Little z will run towards them even if he doesn’t have wellies on.
Yeah, I think puddles have some kind of magnetism in them for children!

My kids love their scooters. My son has got a stunt scooter now, sometimes I can’t bear to watch him when he’s doing one of his tricks!
