Summer goals update
Of my five #GetGoodSummer goals I made, two are nearly completed, just two weeks into the summer challenge. We have nearly finished the bathroom and the children have nearly finished decorating their den.
We started our bathroom back at easter and last week we still did not have a usable shower, so we were getting a bit fed up. It can be very difficult to find the time for DIY when you have small children. However, I am very grateful my parents came to the rescue last weekend and my dad actually finished off most of the work and I’m very pleased to say, I had my first shower in the new bathroom this morning!! Yay! I love it! Thank you Dad.
We still need to add a shelf, and get the flooring done and accessorise, but it’s all usable and lovely. I can’t wait now for the finishing touches.
Whilst my Dad and hubby were finishing the bathroom, Nana and I were getting creative with the children making decorations for their den that they painted the week before. They made butterfly bunting and a rainbow mobile to hang inside.
We also made a plaque to hang outside the den. Nana prepared a piece of wood, drilled holes in the top and added cord to hang it, then drew outlines of some pictures and writing for the children to decorate. Pinky coloured in the princess, Boo chose the butterfly and BB the rocket. BB also wrote the words on it too. I must admit I think it looks really effective.
The children’s den is really taking shape now, I just need to find an old rug or piece of carpet to go in there and it will be fab!

Two goals in two weeks is really good going! I must say that I’m very impressed with the enormity of the goals…they’re not small projects are they?!
