Childhood Guy Fawkes Fun

Childhood Guy Fawkes Fun

Guy burning on the bonfireIt’s Guy Fawkes night, so last weekend we had loads of fun. We enjoyed collecting sticks for our bonfire.

We all made a guy together. BB drew the face on the mask while his sisters stuffed newspaper into the clothes for the Guy. They all got really excited about this and then proceeded to play with the guy once he was finished!

We had edible chocolate finger sparklers, by dipping a chocolate finger into some hot water (parental supervision necessary) and then into some sprinkles, Yum!

We set up the bonfire with the Guy on top, then Grandad lit the fire while we all watched. The children were mesmerised.

We took our lanterns we made earlier in the week outside to see glow, whilst we watched some fireworks. They all really enjoyed this, but Pinky refused to take her fingers out of her ears the whole time.

Bonfire and fireworks

After the fireworks we all came inside for some Rocket sausages made from a sausage on a stick with a triangle of pepper on the top and tortilla chips on the sides. They were loved by all!

It was a really lovely Guy Fawkes with the whole family, Grandparents, uncles nephews, aunt. Everyone had lots of great childhood fun.
