Mess
This week, it’s been all about ‘mess’ in our house.
Last week I wrote about the rules we started here, so we have been continuing them. This means the children have been generally making less mess and are tidying up the mess they do make. I think our rules and pasta reward cups are definitely working, as the children are still playing and having just as much fun as previously, but are learning to control things and look after their toys better. Therefore, I am not nagging as much and the house is even happier.
Also, at the weekend we finished sorting out all the ‘mess’ of old clothes to give away. The children helped me sort them all into piles of ages and boys/girls. We have now managed to give away all bar one bag, which I am very pleased with.
Lastly, twice this week we have done some messy play. We made an indoor snowman and we played and experimented with shaving foam. All the family joined in and had such a good time. There was definitely a lot of mess to clean up, but it was all nice clean mess, so it was quick and easy to do. I would definitely recommend giving this a go if you fancy a bit of messy play.

Sometimes a bit of mess is easier than fighting to keep everything perfect! #WotW
Oh yes definitely
Brilliant word! I saw your messy play post and loved it, and so pleased you’ve managed to sort all those bags out and that the rules are working out well
Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
Great to read that the pasta cups are still working well (will have to give them a go)… and loving the idea of the indoor snowman! Mel
