Spiders and pumpkin crafts
I must admit, I am not a fan of Halloween, but not wishing to be a party pooper for my children, I like to do a few things with them (without emphasising the Halloween part).
Last weekend, we made spiders and pumpkins.
Spiders
I found some little black pots that had previously had a very naughty pudding in (for adults only!) and thought, that would make a very good easy spider! I love recycled craft!
We turned the pots upside down and daddy poked four holes in each side of each pot. We cut a couple of pipe cleaners into eight equal pieces for legs and poked them through each hole. Then the best bit was sticking the goggly eyes on the front.
These spiders were so easy, yet really quite effective. The children had fun making them and we are going to thread some string from the top to hang them up next week. You could use any yoghurt pot or other recycled pot too.
Paper plate and stone pumpkins
First, we had to mix up some orange paint with red and yellow (good learning opportunity for little ones). Once we had the orange paint, we painted a whole paper plate and a stone each. We had to let it dry, before finishing. This was the part my girls found difficult as they wanted to finish them.
Once the orange paint was dry, we drew faces and a stalk on the stones with a black pen. For the paper plates, we cut out pieces of black paper to glue on for the jack o lanterns face. My children love using scissors, so this was a fantastic activity for them, they had loads of fun and so easy!

Thanks, I know the feeling, I am very busy this week fitting in lots of activities
Aww they are very cute – am loving the “adult pudding” idea – does that mean I get a treat for Halloween too?
Thanks for linking up #MotivationalMonday
Lol! Of course, why should the children get all the fun??
