What the elf did next…

What the elf did next…

Jack, our elf on the shelf has definitely settled back in well this year. I think he is becoming a bit of a cheeky elf. Here’s what he has been up to this week….

Elf on the shelf sat on top of the christmas tree

Reading the nativity story to some of the barbies.

Making sure he gets his vitamins, he helped himself to a satsuma in the fruit bowl. Funnily enough, my children all had a satsuma that day too!! (Jack works wonders!)

Jack decided the children needed to do some giving, as that is what christmas is all about. He set up the ingredients for gingerbread biscuits and wrote a note, asking the children to make biscuits, for the neighbours to say thank you for putting up their christmas lights.

Jack was feeling a little lonely, so needed a hug from the cat.

Today, he got the barbie horse out again, sat in a little buggy behind it, tied some string and used it as a fun sleigh round the living room!

We are all loving Jacks antics, especially the children. It is amazing how much fun can be had with a little elf.

The children baked their gingerbread. Tonight, they took some round to the neighbours. They were so excited doing this and my neighbours seemed genuinely touched by it. It was wonderful to see! One of those moments that makes you feel all warm inside.

Still looking forward to finding out what Jack is going to get up to in his last week with us.

  1. I love the pony trap idea-brilliant. And I hadn’t thought of the fruit bowl as incentive for fruit eating-may be borrowing that one, thanks!

    • Yes, anything you want the children to do, get the elf to do it first! :)

  2. I like how he’s influenced some satsuma-eating there. And I love the sleigh-riding! Thanks for linking up #elftakeover

    • Thank you, an elf can definitely influence a childs behaviour! :)

  3. Fab pics Karen – love the one of Jack entertaining all the ladies ;-) #ElfTakeOver

    • Haha, he does seem to like being with the ladies doesn’t he! :)

    • Yeah, if you want something done, get the elf to do it first! x

  4. My daughter is still too young for all those teensy Barbi parts – but when she is old enough, I am sure our Alfie will be getting in to more trouble too!

    • Yes, last year we were more limited, but I think each year, the elf can get up to more exciting things :)

    • Thanks, I think the barbie’s enjoyed it too;)

  5. Love some of your elf’s ideas! Quite the ladies’ man though, isn’t he? Reading a nativity story to the Barbies…! Yeah, yeah!! Might have to try the fruit incentive though – what a great idea!

    • Yeah, I think he has a bit of a thing for the girls;)
