A New Year Summary
I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year. I hope 2013 was a good year for you all and that 2014 will be an even better year for you and your family.
For me, 2013 saw the beginning of this blog, the start of the Let kids be kids linky and the beginning of my blogging, writing and let kids be kids journey. I have loved every minute of it, though maybe not the staying up until 2am trying to get the site working initially. I am feeling so passionate about the need for us to let kids be kids (a passion I didn’t realise I felt until I started this) and desperately want to spread the word and passion.
Some of my favourite posts have been……
- My Let kids be kids linky each week
- Bring back Childhood as that is what let kids be kids is all about.
- Conker fun because we had so much fun.
- Kids TV time debate as I think this is a big subject for debate.
- Elf on the shelf christmas tradition because I love this tradition and wanted to share the idea.
- Winter fun activity list as this is our current activity bucket list we are working through enjoying.
This year, I have enrolled on a child psychology course, which I am very much looking forward to starting. Any interesting and useful information I find out, I will be writing about here. I find this subject fascinating, so can’t wait to tell you all about it.
I also can’t wait to write about all the activities and fun we get up to as a family. This is something I love sharing, as I think it is great to get inspiration from each other, as bloggers and spread the fun.
Lastly, I am looking forward to the ‘screen free day’ I have set up on Sunday 19th January. I am in the process of putting together some tips and ideas for your screen free day. Watch this space for further updates. I hope very much, you will join me and help spread the word about basic childhood and family fun.
I would like to thank you all for your support of Let kids be kids, it has meant so much to me and if there is anything I can do to help any of you, please get in touch.
P.s If any of you like this blog, I would very much love it, if you could vote for me in the National UK Blog Awards. This blog is so young, I need all the help I can get. Thank you ![]()

Ooh, thank you very much. I absolutely loved psychology A level years ago, so when I saw this (only basic course) on child psychology I couldn’t resist signing up. Who knows, it may lead to something else. Do you feel you have used your psychology degree?
