Let kids be kids linky 3/12/13

Let kids be kids linky badge
Welcome to let kids be kids linky.

This is a linky all about letting kids be kids, getting back to basics and having great childhood fun. We live in such a fast paced modern world with loads of technology and stresses round every corner, we need to remember to just ‘play’ and have fun, it’s healthy for us all (yes, that includes you parents!).

I originally set this linky up on my other website, but recently decided it needed an identity of its own, hence, this site was born and my mission to raise awareness of letting kids be kids started. Please join me in spreading the word for encouraging children to step away from the technology for a while and go out, run around, use their imaginations and just have general basic FUN!

Now it is december, christmas is on its way. I love the build up to christmas, there are so many things I like to do and so many fun activities for the children. We went to a winter wonderland at the weekend and saw father christmas, we have made paper chains and snowflakes as well as a handprint christmas tree. I now need to find the time to write about it all. Our elf on the shelf is back and the children are loving looking for him in the mornings. Please join in the linky and let us all see what you have been up to.

Thank you to everyone who linked up last week, it was a fantastic week of inspiring posts. Here are my three favourite. I loved the reading challenge over at 92three30, so much so, I have set a reading challenge for my son and his friends, it’s great. There was a good read at The antics of Lucas on letting children be children and what Lucas gets up to. Growing a girl against the grain describes the value of having a garden for little ones to explore.

There’s not many rules, just link up your posts, old or new, about genuine childhood fun (of any age). It may be fun outdoors, jumping in puddles, nature hunts, riding bikes or making mud pies. Or it may be fun indoors with arts and crafts, making dens, cooking, messy play or reading. Or how about visiting a farm or fun at a fete. Or a discussion about kids growing up too fast, etc.

Whatever basic fun you have been having or discussing, link up and share your ideas, visit others to get inspiration, but most importantly, HAVE FUN!

This linky will open every Tuesday for 6 days, so there’s plenty of time to add your posts.

Please spread the word and grab my badge from my sidebar if possible.

If you tweet me your link (@karenattwinlife), I will happily retweet.
