Our year 2014

Our year 2014

Looking back at 2014, it has been a fantastic year that has brought many unforeseen experiences, opportunities and amazing times! It has been my first proper year in blogging and I have loved every minute of it with all the new opportunities and wonderful things it has brought to us as a whole family.

The highlights of 2014…..

 January

The children climbed a tree for the first time whilst on some lovely winter walks and we enjoyed our screen free day together.children climbing trees

February

We had great fun playing musical letters, doing some kite flying and having some fantastic messy fun making an indoor snowmanMaking indoor snowmen

March

This month saw my big boy starting Beavers for the first time. It was Pinky and Boos 4th birthday and BB’s 6th birthday. We  loved painting spring flowers, which ultimately won us a holiday to Centre Parcs! Our year 2014 in march

April

We made some lovely easter cake pops together, had a lovely short break in the New Forest with Nana and Grandad and planted our garden with garden on a roll.

June

This was probably one of my favourite months as it saw us going on a most amazing short break to Centre Parcs as their ambassador. We had the best holiday, with so many new amazing experiences together and created the best memories. BB also went on his first Beaver camp in a Teepee and loved it!

The children decorated their own den and we had a lovely weekend at my parents summer fete. Boo had her first bike ride on two wheels. We also had a wonderful time at the seaside with Nana and Grandad. Our year 2014 - July

August

We had a fantastic holiday to Coombe mill, where Pinky developed a love for rabbits and the children gained huge confidence with animals. We made some amazing beach pictures with the shells we collected there on our return home. The children also had their first day out to London where we had a lovely day despite the rain!

  3. Sounds like you’ve had a fabulous year. I’m intrigued with your garden on a roll. I have a new border to plant too and had been looking at the ready made designs, how well did it grow after planting?

    • Our Garden on a roll worked brilliantly, it was so easy to plant, so we didn’t have to think about it as we have no idea about plants and it has grown really well. We now need to cut it back in the spring. It is not cheap, but was worth it for us.
